The Promise Land Part 1
A few months ago our family was in Council Bluffs on a ministry trip. The first night that we were there we could hardly sleep because there was so much activity in the spirit realm. Sarah had several dreams and visions which and was woken up by the power of God surging through her body. As I laid awake I saw in the spirit an angel with a sword standing watch over us. I knew that the Lord had sat him was there as a guard over us and to protect us from any spiritual opposition. Other people on our team also where made aware of different angels that God had on assignment with us. One of the angels that the Lord made us aware of was the angel or angels of Liberty. We know that angels have ranks of position. If we look in scripture we see that in Daniel, Michael is referred to as a prince or archangel ( Dan. 10:21 ; 12:1 & Jude 1:9 )and also in Revelation saying "...Michael and His angels..." (Rev. 12:7). So that is why I say angel or angels of liberty, because I feel that it may be one chief angel who has many other angels under his command and that there main purpose is to help bring people into great liberty and freedom. Over the past few months i have been thinking about these Angels and thanking God for sending them to our nation at this time. One key that we have found to engaging with the Angelic is to acknowledge their presences. We personally like to address the angels by speaking out loud and and just saying thank you for being here, and we them to do what the Lord has sent them here to do. An important thing to know is that angels do the bidding of God he often chooses to speak and to minister to the earth with the angelic ministry. As we entered into a spiritual new year this year, GOd spoke to us how this is truly a year of break through and a year of bringing fourth with little or no travail. We know that these angels of liberty are here to help in bringing these things about. This year there is an invitation for people to be free of past struggles and for cycles of bondage to be broken. God says put no limit on what he can do in your life and and put no limit on how much freedom you can experience. All of this is a background for you to understand what I am about to share with you. Two weeks ago as i laid down to sleep I had an eye opening experience. I call it this because I suddenly began to see things in my life more clearly then I had ever seen them before. It shook me so much that I could not sleep until after 6 am. In a since it was a wake up call. The week after this experience was really strange for me. Seeing things with such clarity made me stunned in a way. It felt abnormal and in a way it was, because normally I hadn't see things this clear. I love the Lord and I aim to be sensitive to His spirit always but this has been a whole other level. After about a week of this I was talking to God and asking Him why i felt so unrestful and confused? He said to me " Nick that the Angel of liberty not only has a torch in her hand but also a sword...and you have just had some things cut off of you and you have been adjusting to them not being there any more." Then he lead me to Hebrews 4. As I read some many things were confirmed with God had been showing me. The body of Christ has already crossed over the Jordan spiritually speaking. Jesus has delivered from Egypt and has lead us to the promised land. This is where we are at right now we are the at the threshold of the promised land. The promise land is the the place that we walk in the fulness of all that God has for us. God has been maturing us and getting us ready for this time over the past decades. He has been doing this not only with the outpouring of His spirit but also in the secret places of our heart through out the day. The invitation to enter the promise Land was given to all the children of Israel but only Joshua and Caleb mixed the promise with belief and therefore they were the only ones of there generation to see it. How each of us responds to God in this season will determine for many wither or not they enter into the place of fulness or if they will wonder around in the wilderness untill they die. I am not talking about being saved here, i am talking about walking in the full undiluted finished work of the cross. Hebrews 4:1-2 says "Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it. For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. When it says fear hear i think of being cautious and aleart. So often the deep things of God are often spoken in a still small voice and can be overlooked. Hebrews 4:11 " Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience." . If you read in context here you can see that the unbelief was the issue of disobedience. Jesus tells us in John 6:29 that our work is to believe. We encourage each of you to invite the Holy Spirit to search your heart in this season and to call on Gods redemptive and empowering Grace to see you and your family through into the promise Land.
